What is ultrasonic cavitation? How does it work?
The ultrasonic cavitation procedure is a non-invasive body contouring treatment that uses low-frequency ultrasound waves to remove fat from the body.
Specific areas of the body are targeted with low-frequency sound waves, the minute vibrations producing tiny bubbles within fat cells. This disturbs the outer membrane of the cells, which causes tiny collections of fat to be expelled into surrounding areas. These fatty acids are then processed and eliminated by the body’s lymphatic system.
It’s important to note that this procedure is suitable for the reduction of cellulite and stubborn fat. It is not a weight-loss solution.
What is radio frequency skin tightening? How does it work?
Radio frequency skin tightening is an aesthetic technique that uses radio frequency (RF) energy to heat the skin with the purpose of stimulating the production of collagen and elastin, proteins that are important to maintaining tight, firm skin.
Radio frequency skin tightening works by targeting the tissue beneath the outer layer of the skin, or epidermis, with radio frequency energy. This energy generates heat resulting in new collagen production.
For optimal results, we recommend 6 treatments spaced 3 days apart.
BEFORE and AFTERCARE
- Drink plenty of water (at least 2 litres) before and after the treatment. Drinking water is a necessary part of the treatment to facilitate the elimination of broken-down fat.
- For best results, you should not drink alcohol for two days after the treatment. The alcohol may interfere with how effectively your liver removes the emulsified fat cells from your body.
- Do some light exercise to elevate your heart rate such as a brisk walk for at least 20 minutes after the treatment to stimulate lymph movement.
- Overall maintaining a low calorie, low carbohydrate, low fat, and low sugar diet for 24 hours pre-treatment and three days post-treatment will help achieve the best results. This is to ensure your body utilizes triglycerides (a type of body fat) released by the cavitation process.
- A minimum of 20 minutes of elevated heart rate cardio exercise is required immediately following your treatment to ensure the stored energy released by the cavitation process is burnt off.
