What Is a Body Wrap?
A body wrap — also known as a body cocoon or body mask — is a luxurious spa treatment designed to improve the health, tone, and appearance of your skin. It can also assist with temporary body contouring and fluid reduction.
During the treatment, a nourishing oil or mineral-rich formula is applied to the body before you are comfortably wrapped in a specialised film. While most wraps are performed on the entire body (excluding the face and intimate areas), targeted wraps such as cellulite or bust treatments can also be applied to specific areas.
Benefits of a Body Wrap
Body wraps offer both beauty and wellness benefits, including:
Detoxification
Wraps that contain ingredients such as algae, seaweed, mud, or clay help stimulate skin cells and support the body’s natural detoxification process. As the skin is the body’s largest organ, cleansing and revitalising it can enhance overall wellbeing.
Skin Purification & Firming
Mud and clay wraps help draw out impurities, reduce excess fluid retention, tighten pores, and improve skin texture. These therapeutic minerals also have calming, stress-relieving properties, making them a popular choice among spa clients.
What to Expect
Body wraps are often combined with other treatments such as exfoliation or massage for a complete pampering experience. While many clients expect a massage to be included, this is only provided if specified in your chosen package. Please check when booking or contact us if you are unsure.
If you experience claustrophobia or discomfort being left alone in a treatment room, this treatment may not be suitable. Our team is happy to discuss any concerns before your appointment.
What Should I Wear?
For your body wrap treatment, you will need to undress to your underwear or wear a disposable bikini (provided).
Your comfort and privacy are our priority. We practice professional draping techniques throughout the treatment to ensure your modesty and emotional comfort at all times. If you have any concerns, please feel free to speak with your therapist before your appointment.
